Why Support the Ohio IA?
The Ohio IA was founded to help shape the future of the Irrigation industry in the state of Ohio. The OIA will
forge ahead to help formulate new legislation that will directly effect each and every contractor in this state. Important
issues, such as licensing and water conservation, will be lobbied at the state level.
In addition, the Ohio IA will help support irrigation contractors with labor needs, now and in the future. The OIA will encourage
students to become involved and educated in the irrigation industry. An "employment" section will be updated on our website, encouraging
OIA members to post job and internship opportunities. H2B legislation will also be an important part of our efforts,
working to assure irrigation contractors a helping hand when applying for H2B labor.
Finally, the Ohio IA will strive to promote irrigation education for contractors, legislators and consumers. Certification classes
will be promoted within the state of Ohio, allowing contractors from all over the state to further their education and to also obtain
certifications. Certifications levels include CIC, CLIA and CID.
